The Palm Springs International Film Awards has just announced that Lady Gaga will be honoured at their upcoming ceremony as she is set to receive the Icon Award for her performance in โ€œHouse Of Gucciโ€ directed by Ridley Scott. This news was released with the following statement: โ€œTo many Lady Gaga is an icon through her music, but she continues to impress audiences with her iconic acting roles,โ€ festival chairman Harold Matzner said in a statement. โ€œFollowing her memorable performance in โ€˜A Star is Born,โ€™ Lady Gaga yet again raises the bar in her portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in โ€˜House of Gucci,โ€™ the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. For this tour-de-force performance, it is our honor to present the icon award to Lady Gaga.โ€ In the past this award has been awarded to the likes of Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Tom Hanks, Willem Dafoe, Michael Douglas, and Robert Duvall (among others). The ceremony will be held in-person at the Palm Springs Convention Center on January 6th, 2022.

  3. The nominees for the 64th GRAMMY Awards have been announced. The Recording Academy has nominated Lady Gaga in 5categories, including Album of the Year. The singer has been nominated in the following categories: Album Of The Year Record Of The Year Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Best Music Video Lady Gaga's jazz album with the legendary Tony Bennett has been recognized by the Academy for AOTY. The album has been seen as a sentimental favourite since it is the final recording of Bennett, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. With these nominations, Gaga is now a 34-time GRAMMY nominee, and currently boasts 12 wins. Love for Sale has also been nominated for Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical). The 64th GRAMMY Awards will take place on January 31, 2022.
