ELLE Canada interviewed Lady Gaga about her beauty evolution and her makeup brand, Haus Labs.
In the interview, Lady Gaga shared her insights on self-care, her relationship with beauty and skincare, and discussed her beauty brand, Haus Labs. You can read part of the interview below:

Asked about where her love for skin science comes from, Gaga replied:
“As a kid, I always watched my mom take care of herself, and she was vigilant about her morning skincare routine, a beautiful makeup routine and makeup as self-care. When I started this brand, I knew I wanted it to be inclusive. ...there was this huge problem in makeup: When you wear it all the time, it wrecks your skin. I wear a lot of makeup because I’m a performer, so I wanted to push myself in this space. What got me so into skin science was my love of taking care of my own skin."
Gaga also added this about her beauty evolution and her relationship with music and makeup:
“When I was a teenager, I was really self-conscious and I loved makeup and the way it helped give me some type of superhero cape. ...I went to a school where it wasn’t really okay to express with your physical appearance. So I really started screaming [about who I was] when I got out of school. Then I got deeper and deeper into music and started to create these various personas for myself with makeup, and they all felt natural. For me, makeup was a way to be whomever I wanted to be at any given moment and say the things on the outside that I was feeling on the inside—but not with words. Instead of telling people who you are, you’re showing them.”
Gaga then once again mentioned her love for the fans, saying:
“We love our fans so much, and we just want to make everyone happy by delivering high-quality products that really enhance the artistry experience and the beauty experience. So, for me, there’s always that warmth in my heart when I see the makeup make somebody’s day.”

Empire Magazine published their mega 2024 Preview issue including 'Joker: Folie à Deux' starring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix as one of the 10 most essential 2024 movies.

The special issue is out on November 23rd and includes a review on the upcoming Joker sequel. The review states some interesting things about Gaga:
“She bares her soul. She eats the scenery. And she'll sing her lungs out. Prepare for a match made in hell.”
They also repeated director Tod Phillips and cinematographer Lawrence Sher words about the movie:
"We dance a lot, by the way," Phillips told Empire a few months before Joker's release. "There's a lot of dancing in this movie. We think Joker has music in his soul. Lawrence Sher says that, visually at least, it's inspired by Francis Ford Coppola's 1982 musical One From The Heart.”
The review also delved into the movie's intriguing title:
“According to the National Institutes Of Health, the folie à deux' condition is "an identical or similar mental disorder affecting two or more individuals", meaning that the Joker/Harley team-up will be doubling the delusion.”
'Joker: Folie à Deux' will be in theaters in October 2024.

In honor of the 10 year anniversary of Lady Gaga’s fan-favorite record release, let’s take a dive back into some of the most iconic and unforgettable moments surrounding the music, fashion, technology, aesthetics and magic of ARTPOP.
We first took a glimpse into the ARTPOP universe when Gaga performed at the 2013 MTV VMAs, where she premiered the first single “Applause”. For the performance she collaborated with the renowned theater director Robert Wilson, with whom she further worked later on in 2013, posing for him, while Wilson was recreating some of the most iconic paintings that were later displayed in Louvre, Paris.

Gaga joined forces with American artist and sculptor Jeff Koons for the album cover. Koons created a special statue of Gaga with his famous gazing ball. Gaga used the statue and incorporated Sandro Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s “Apollo and Daphne” for the iconic cover. The cover truly represented the mixture of high art and culture into pop, representing Gaga’s idea of a “reverse Warholian” (pop-art) process.

Gaga worked with numerous producers on ARTPOP. She worked with DJ Zedd, DJ White Shadow, Madeon… The goal was to incorporate multiple genres, including EDM, rave, R&B, rap, dubstep and pop.
Gaga also gave countless interviews and performed on numerous TV shows and award ceremonies including iTunes Festival, American Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, Graham Norton Show, X Factor, The Voice, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and even “Lady Gaga and the Muppets Holiday Special” including guest performances by Elton John and RuPaul.
Gaga held a one-day exclusive album launch party - artRave, headlined the concert special live at Roseland Ballroom and embarked on a world tour artRave: The ARTPOP Ball.
The whole ARTPOP era was filled with extravagant fashion, even multiple outfits with different wigs in a single day. Gaga served with every single outfit, day after day.

Happy 10 year anniversary ARTPOP. You are and will forever be one of the most avantgarde and underrated pop masterpieces!
