With two days until the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Lady Gaga is confirmed to participate in the opening ceremony.
This will be her first televised live performance since the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023.
As of now, there is no confirmation on what she will perform.
Speculation around Gaga’s participation in the ceremony began after a press release from the Olympics teased “a show on a grand scale with an eclectic mash-up of the old and the new.”
The rumors grew stronger after Gaga arrived in Paris on July 22.

There is a chance the film will feature original music from Gaga, in addition to the confirmed renditions of classic musical numbers.
Two of these songs were revealed in the new trailer. In one shot, Phoenix sings Stevie Wonder’s “For Once in My Life,” and at the end of the trailer, Gaga and Phoenix sing Judy Garland’s “Get Happy” together.
