Lady Gaga's Dognappers Found and Arrested for Attempted Murder and Robbery
After over two months of searching, the people who shot Lady Gaga's dogwalker, Ryan Fischer, and stole her dogs back in late February have been arrested. According to TMZ and Billboard, five people were in on the dognapping, including the woman who came forward claiming to have found Koji and Gustav tied up in an alley. Law enforcement believe the original suspects got nervous after all the attention the incident received, so they decided to back out on reselling them, but figured they could cash in on the reward, which is where the woman who "found" them came in. Police suspected that she was in on it, so they advised Gaga to not pay her the $500,000 reward she had advertised all over social media to whoever found her beloved dogs. The police originally thought the dognapping was a gang initiation; however, they later believed it to be a dog stealing ring because small pure bred dogs such as French Bulldogs can be resold for a lot of money. The video taken from a neighbor's security system that caught the attack became key evidence in the case, and it helped law enforcement hunt down the criminals while Ryan fully recovered in the hospital. The five suspects were arrested April 29th for multiple charges. Three of the five were brought in for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and second-degree robbery. James Jackson, 18 Jaylin White, 19 Lafayette Whaley, 27 Additionally, Jackson faces one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. White faces one count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury. And the remaining two were arrested for accessories to attempted murder: Harold White, 40 Jennifer McBride, 50 Detectives say McBride, the woman who claimed to have found the dogs, is in a relationship with Harold White, the father of one of the three men who shot Ryan. According to the police, the suspects were arraigned at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center on Thursday, April 29th. The defendants all pleaded Not Guilty. Their next court appearance is scheduled for May 11th. Bail was ordered at $3 million for Jackson, $1 million for Jaylin White, $1.1 million for Whaley, and $35,000 for Harold White. McBride was released without bail as long as she agreed to ankle monitoring. โThis was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,โ District Attorney George Gascรณn said in a statement. โWe have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.โ

Diane Warren Spoke About Lady Gaga and "'Til It Happens to You" in Recent Interview
'Til It Happens to You, the 2015 ballad by Lady Gaga and Diane Warren, was talked about by Warren in a recent interview with The Wrap. โI remember writing that song and thinking, โOh, my God, this is definitely one of my best songs.โ The movie is about sexual assault on campus, but I always thought the song could be bigger than that, so in the lyrics I never said what the It was. Itโs whatever youโre going through when people say, โItโs going to get better, just give it time.โ But when youโre in it, youโre like, โYou donโt know how it feels until it happens to you.โ Warren then continued on to discuss how she got Lady Gaga to collaborate with her on the powerful song, "And then I called Gaga, because I had heard that she had said something on Howard Stern that sheโd been raped. I thought, โIโm just going to take a chance and play her the song. And if sheโd gone through that, itโs going to connect with her.' I played her the song and she was sobbing on the phone." โBut nobody wanted that song to come out. The label, management, nobody wanted it to come out. So I called my friend, (director) Catherine Hardwicke, she listened to the song and said sheโd do a video, I put in some of my own money, she put in some of hers, the actors worked for free, she made this brilliant video and then we leaked it out and it blew up," Warren stated. After working hard to get the song, video, and message out, Lady Gaga then sang it at the 2016 Oscars and received a standing ovation. Warren had this to say on the powerful performance: โAt the Oscars, that performance was just stunning on every level. That was one of the best performances Iโve ever seen. People were sobbing in the audience, and then there was a commercial break and they came back and said, โAnd the winner isโฆโ and I thought, โWhat just happened?โ That was my memory of the night: I just kept saying, โWhat just happened?'"

The Studio, located in LA, was originally a local hub for Haus Labs, but Gaga and Klarna have teamed up to make the location serve another purpose: a resource center for up and coming creators who will receive a $10,000 grant. Only three creators will be chosen, and it will be through invite-only. This creator collective will rotate biannually so others will have the opportunity to receive the grant and resources. The creator cohort of three people will receive mentorship from Haus Labs, access to The Studio in LA, and the grant provided by Klarna. The first two creators, Biddy and Vari, were handpicked by Gaga and Klarna themselves. "Each creator is unique in the art they create, and uses their platform to be kind to the world. This is the type of brave self-expression that we admire and champion as a brand," Gaga explained when asked how the creators were chosen. The creators will have full access to The Studio. The interior offers colorful lighting, a pink sofa, and high-tech features. It also has a photo studio, kitchen area, bathroom, and lounge. Gaga stated in an interview to E! News, "It was important to design The Studio in a way that promotes and inspires creativity for everyone that enters. The team used this goal to make design decisions throughout the space, from architecture to the colors, textures, and flow." When asked about her favorite part of The Studio, Gaga told E! News, "The mirrored canopy is a centerpiece of The Studio that represents the importance of self-reflection and perspective. It's a custom art piece that we feel so proud to showcase in our space."

Lady Gaga Calls for President Trump's Impeachment
Lady Gaga took to Twitter to voice her concerns over removing President Trump from office via the 25th US Amendment. Section 1 of the 25th Amendment states: The vice president shall become president if the current one dies, resigns, or is removed from office. Lady Gaga pointed out that this will not disqualify President Trump from running for reelection in the future, and that one of the ways lawmakers can prevent this is to push for impeachment. She continued on to say that he incited domestic terrorism with his extremist followers. This tweet came after the US Capitol breach where President Trump and Rudy Guiliani (former Mayor of NYC and current legal team member for Trump) instigated mob violence that led to domestic terrorists rioting. Hundreds of nationalists and fascists broke into the United States Capitol building claiming election fraud and demanding President Elect Joe Biden not be sworn in. They wanted the Electoral vote count to be stopped. However, after the National Guard was called in and the city was put under curfew, the count continued and Joe Biden was officially certified the next President of the United States. This domestic terrorist attack led to at least 5 dead, over 50 injured, and only over 65 arrests. This is the type of violence Lady Gaga was referring to in her tweet and why she believes he needs to be impeached.

Rain on Me and Chromatica Named 1 of the Best Songs and Albums of 2020 by an LGBTQ+ Artist
The GayTimes have released their end of the year list of which LGBTQ+ artists have dominated the airwaves, and Lady Gaga has made the cut. The magazine named Chromatica as one of the "20 Best Albums of 2020 by LGBTQ+ Artists." They say of her sixth studio album: "A mainstream accolaid, thereโs an undeniable flair associated with Gagaโs sized up camp electro-pop dominating tracklist. Chromatica was an unquestioned staple in and outside our office, and long stood as a maximalist playing field of feelgood pop and performance. Gaga skillfully wallows in the dark undertones of her galactic sonicscape, while smothering the record in personal pop synths and lyricists. Still, Gaga pulls off a gregarious record destined for sociable dancefloors and scream-along chorusโ at concerts. A top bid for 2020." The website also named Rain on Me as one of the "20 Best Songs of 2020 by LGBTQ+ Artists." They say of her duet with Ariana Grande: "We may have been stuck indoors for most of the year, but Mother Monster still managed to whisk us away to Chromatica. With a mammoth pop anthem like Rain On Me at the helm, it was the getaway we all sorely needed." Lady Gaga has open about her sexuality since the start of her career. She has referenced being bisexual numerous times in various songs over the past decade. During the promotional period of her fourth studio album, ARTPOP, she answered a question about the authenticity of her orientation, โItโs not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women, and anyone that wants to twist this into โshe says sheโs bisexual for marketing,โ this is a f*cking lie. This is who I am and who I have always been.โ As a pioneer in queer activism over the past 12+ years, it only makes sense for Lady Gaga to be featured on both the Best Songs/Albums by LGBTQ+ Artists lists.
