Ten years ago, Lady Gaga and fashion photographer and founder/director of SHOWStudio, Nick Knight, created the concept of Jo Calderone for Vogue Japan. The Haus of Gaga would continue to tease the true identity of Calderone until his introduction to the world at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Knight celebrated the anniversary of this creation by going behind the scenes with this exclusive fashion video and many never-seen before pictures from the set.
"@ladygaga's alter-ego Joe Calderone made their first public appearance in my editorial under the working title ‘Elegant Mechanics’ in 2010, wearing the likes of @emporioarmani, @prada and @givenchyofficial.⠀
⠀
Filmed in the infamous black basement room in the Bruton Place SHOWstudio in London’s Mayfair Gaga wanted to give a 100% authentic performance as a man . As part of this we set up a gentleman’s urinal complète with plumbing, which Joe Calderone used during the film .
Gaga later signed the white urinal and it still has pride of place at the current SHOWstudio. This is the first time this fashion film has appeared online. Previously only showcased in the basement of SHOWstudio's old premises at Bruton Place, we projected it on the very wall against which it was shot .The film was made while shooting Gaga/Calderone for @voguejapan, and when Gaga’s P.A showed up on set, she stood unaware next to Joe Calderon and looking increasingly worried, she asked- where is Gaga? Has anyone seen Gaga ????"
You can find more about the shootings on ShowStudio website.

Lady Gaga and 911 director, Tarsem Singh, go behind the scenes in this exclusive interview for LG OLED TV.
"I'm so thrilled to see how everyone has responded to the "911" short film. Its meaning is extremely special to me and important in my life," Lady Gaga explains in the video. She goes on to say, "To celebrate our collaboration, Tarsem and I created an exclusive visual experience which will air exclusively on LG OLED TVs. This is an alternate version of the "911" short film made to push the boundaries of the visuals and truly deliver them the way we envisioned them."
The three minute clip then dives into the questions for the director.

Q: "What drew you to the Lady Gaga 911 film?"
TS: "I have just 3 or 4 stupid ideas that I've had since college. I just stick by them, and sometimes when a song comes along, you go, "Alright it fits." Or it doesn't. Sometimes it takes 2 years, and in this particular case, it's taken 28 years. When I heard the song, the thing that clicked it was [the fact] they sent that classical piece [Chromatica II] up ahead with it. Because that classical piece was there, I knew what the front would be. So when she explained to me what the song was about, I had a periphery of an idea. And once she told me, I said, "Okay, I can tailor it even more, [...] it'll just be about somebody who didn't take their medication and ended up causing an accident, or was in an accident, and has taken all the things around them and abstracted them in a format that kind of doesn't give it away until you realize the 3rd time." When I told it to her, she said there can be no other idea that is the music video. So I got up and I kind of did a victory lap. When I sat back down in the chair, I realized that she was crying. And then I kind of realized that it was a really personal thing for her. It's their song, you're Interpreting it in a particular way."
Q: "Why is it important to see it as you intended?"
TS: "I'm Indian so I tend to like color. It's very important that you know all the colors and what it reflects because if you watch it on a bad thing you'll judge it with that.  For me, I wish everybody could watch it on an LG TV. If you can and want to see what the filmmaker intended, if you want to see how crushed the blacks are, and how the contrast ratio is perfect, I would say watch it on that."

Q: "Can you elaborate on the ending?"
TS: I thought let's see a billboard, and the billboard affects them. It says Life's Good. This is the person on the brink of, "shall I let go? Shall I die?" And she sees this and she's reacting to Life's Good, and she goes, "I don't want to die."

Lady Gaga ends the exclusive footage with, "the LG OLED TVs and this special version of the film will allow you to see the vibrant colors, dramatic blacks, infinite contrast, and other details of our film unlike anywhere else. We hope you enjoy. Much love."

The pop legend told Elle Magazine, “I’d love to work with more women, as I haven’t done much of that. You could say any of the top girls right now: Dua is definitely having a great time. Lady Gaga, Miley [Cyrus]. I admire these women.”
When asked who inspires her, Minogue said, "I think Lady Gaga is a great example. She is just a powerhouse. She seems fearless; I'm sure she's not. All performers have their insecurities. Joe Biden is declared the 46th President of the United States, with Kamala Harris as his Vice President.

With 290 Electoral votes confirmed and another 16 pending, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris beat Donald Trump and Mike Pence in the 2020 Presidential Election. Biden and Harris managed flip a handful of states that looked as if they were in Trump's favor. The number of absentee and mail-in ballots were so large that they took days to count, but they were ultimately what led Biden and Harris to victory.

Kamala Harris is not only the first female Vice President, but also the first woman of color to hold that title.
After a long four days of waiting for results, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were declared the winners. Multiple celebrations happened worldwide, in real life and online. Lady Gaga tweeted:
Lady Gaga has shown her support for Joe Biden over the years starting with the Obama administration. She and Joe Biden teamed up in 2017 for the Its On Us Campaign where they urged action against sexual assault. She had recently publicly endorsed his run for president on multiple platforms. She also spoke and performed at his rally in Pittsburgh.

Joe Biden's victory is also a victory for the LGBT+ community, for which Lady Gaga is a part of and an advocate.
In his first speech as President Elect, he stated he was thankful and proud of the coalition that helped elect him, including the LGBT+ community. He is the first president in history to mention the LGBT+ community in a victory speech.
Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Lady Gaga took to the stage the night before the 2020 US election to show support for Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden. The rally took place at the Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She appeared on stage with a custom studded mask that said VOTE.
"If you're here, you probably already believe in Joe Biden. I know I believe in Joe Biden," she said to the crowd.
"He's the right choice over Donald Trump. You don't need me to tell you why."

"You have all the evidence you need to look at this choice and know in your heart without any doubt that Joe Biden is the right choice."
Lady Gaga continued her speech by urging the American people who have not voted yet to make a plan. "If you believe in Joe Biden and you haven't already voted, make a plan to get to the polls tomorrow. [...] Cast a vote for your country to do whatever it takes to stand up for what you believe in. [...[ This is your vote and we need all of you to vote." She warned the crowd about feeling too comfortable with mail-in votes and absentee ballots. She alluded to 2016 how people were too lax and playing it safe. "It's tempting to feel comfortable and sit back but now is not the time to feel confident and sit back."
She then called out Donald Trump's past behavior and ended her speech with, “No matter how you identify, now is your chance to vote against Donald Trump. A man who believes his fame gives him the right to grab one of your daughters or sisters or mothers or wives by any part of their body. Vote for Joe Biden.”

After her speech, she took to Twitter to address Donald Trump personally by sending him a video of what she said. The President of the United States had earlier used his platforms and last campaign rally to accuse Lady Gaga of being a poor choice of celebrity endorsement for Pennsylvanians. However, multiple people online showed their support for her, and she was trending worldwide on the website.
She came back to the stage one hour later wearing a white "Joe Biden" crewneck to perform two songs. She started with Shallow. "This is not political, this is not about red or blue. This is about heart."
She then performed You and I, where she called Joe Biden her new, "Pennsylvanian Guy."
She ended her appearance by referencing the negative attention from conservatives she received in her online endorsement photo. "I will not be told what I can and cannot wear to endorse our future president."

After her speech, she welcomed Joe Biden onto the stage. He entered to Lady Gaga's The Edge of Glory and introduced himself to the crowd as her friend.
This was the last rally the presidential candidate held before the 2020 US Elections. If you are registered to vote in the United States and have not yet voted, be sure your voice is heard November 3, 2020.

In a recent interview with Vogue Arabia, Lady Gaga discuss her life, motivations, and her upcoming role as Patrizia Reggiani.
“It reminded me of my freedom and how I get to experience magic; a freedom and magic I wish everyone to have.”
Freedom didn’t come easy for Gaga. Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, to American-Italian parents in New York City, she worked her way up to the highest echelons of the entertainment industry. Raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, she always had a fondness for music, learning piano at just four years old. She is said to have written her first song at 13 and began acting in school plays and performing at open mic nights. “Whenever someone told me I wasn’t good enough throughout my career and life, I never let it break me,” she says. “I promised myself that every time I heard ‘no,’ it would motivate me to work harder.” Considered eccentric while growing up, Gaga has shared her experiences of being bullied. It has been reported that she even had a Facebook group made about her called “Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous.” “The most daring thing I did was believe in myself,” says Gaga. She also attributes her success to the support of her family. When asked who has inspired her the most, she cites her mother, grandmothers, and sister. “In fact, I would have to say my whole family,” she considers. “The hard-working spirit, the ‘I’ll never give up’ attitude, the style and grace while doing so. That’s my family’s voice. That’s me.”
Gaga is also known for her philanthropic work. “My charity, the Born This Way Foundation, that I co-founded with my mother, shares our ambitious passion to make positive change in the face of the world’s mental health crisis,” she shares of the initiative launched in 2012. “I believe it is more important than ever to motivate an agenda of kindness. Kindness that leads to the healing of the mind, body, and soul. Kindness that invigorates programs that are fearless in their effort to help humanity learn the importance of self-care.” For every paid transaction on the Haus Laboratories website – her line of vegan makeup – $1 is donated to the foundation. Gaga has opened up on several occasions about her struggles with both her physical and mental health, including suffering from fibromyalgia, an illness that causes intense physical pain, fatigue, and cognitive dysfunction.
Having launched her sixth album, Chromatica, in June, she hopes to spread this love further. “On my new album, I want everyone to know that even if life is painful sometimes, you can still dance through it. You can dance through it because you’re being brave by fighting the pain and living life. This is something that should be celebrated. This is a reason to dance.” What does 2021 hold for Gaga? “I’m over the moon excited about an upcoming movie I’ll be acting in, directed by my new budding friend, the legendary Ridley Scott – alongside the talent of a truly humbling cast,” she shares. Gucci – based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed – will see Gaga take on the role of Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of arranging the killing of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci. A true-crime drama, it could very well launch yet another award-winning year for Gaga.
