  3. Madison Love, one of the main songwriters behind the explosive collaboration between Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK, Sour Candy, recently did an interview with Rolling Stone. In the interview Love talks about the origins of the track and the behind the scene processes of its making. Sour Candy arrived a day before Chromatica's release as a surprise release/buzz single. Arguably one of the most anticipated tracks on Chromatica, Sour Candy arrived in the form of a "k-pop basement banger" as Lady Gaga calls it. Moreover, Sour Candy has also been hailed as one of the most prominent collaborations and conjoining of western music and k-pop. Love revealed that song, when it was first written, had no set artist to take it. However she says she knew it was made to be a Lady Gaga record. "When Love wrote the first version of “Sour Candy” with producer/writer BloodPop, no artist had dibs on the song yet. But in her heart, she knew it belonged to Lady Gaga. “I love to write theatrical pop,” Love says. “I decided to sing it like Gaga for the demo just in case he wanted to play it for her." After a while, Love reveals that Bloodpop had called months later saying Gaga wanted to enlist the talent of BLACKPINK's four fierce members on the track. Love reveals the sheer excitement and emotion she felt while being in the studio with Gaga, and while she has collaborated and worked with many artists, this one felt different to her. “I work with artists all the time and I don’t get nervous, but she’s just a star to me… She puts it on, and we’re dancing. She’s dancing on me and doing full choreo in the middle of the room. I was so overwhelmed. It was the coolest five minutes of my life.” She even revealed the comical situation that occurred in her Uber Drive on the way home saying how she was "basically crying on the phone" and how confused the driver was about what had just occurred. Sour Candy has long been hailed as an album highlight but more importantly as a pop culture highlight as well. Critics praised Gaga and BLACKPINK's duet as an prime example of the greatness that can be achieved when western artists team up with k-pop powerhouses. 9. Lady Gaga reveals in the new documentary, "The Me You Can't See", that she unfortunately became pregnant after her horrific sexual assault at 19. Talking about the traumatic event, Gaga stated “I went through a really crazy time in my head that I still work on. And I’m trying to make sure I give back with that experience instead of just, I don’t know, locking it away and faking it.” She then began to speak about her past in more detail, saying: “My mental health I thought was a problem when I was very young. I used to cut myself when I was really young. I had my own experiences with abuse and it’s really hard for me to articulate in a way where I feel like it’s safe for young people to listen about why anyone would cut. I do believe that those urges for me, came from a place of ‘I need to show the hurt inside’.” Gaga then carefully took the time to relay the details of the event that caused her trauma and pain. “I was nineteen years old. And I was working in the business. And a producer said to me ‘take your clothes off’. And I said ‘no’. And I left. And they told me they were gonna burn all my music. And they didn’t stop asking me and then I just froze and I just... I don’t even remember.” She continued with: “And I will not say his name. I understand this ‘Me Too’ movement, I understand that some people feel really comfortable with this, and I do not. I do not ever want to face that person again.” "Years later I went to the hospital, they brought a psychiatrist in and I said, 'Bring me a real doctor.' I said, 'Why is there a psych here, I can't feel my body.' I felt full-on pain, then I went numb," she said. "And then, I was sick for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks after and I realized that it was the same pain I felt when the person who raped me dropped me off pregnant on the corner [outside] my parents' house, because I was vomiting, and sick. 'Cause I'd been being abused. I was locked away in a studio for months." “I wanna be able to tell everybody that’s watching that I dry my tears now. And I move on... You can come back from things like that. But when it hits you really hard, it can change you. I had a total psychotic break and for a couple years I was not the same girl.” Lady Gaga also explained how she is now able to overcome and control her trauma after many years. “I learned all the ways to pull myself out of it. It all started to slowly change. It took two and a half years.” The interviewer then asked Gaga, “What were you doing in that time?” She replied, laughing “I won an Oscar! Nobody knew!” “Everybody that’s at home right now suffering, I would like to say that it’s so important that you surround yourself with at least one person that validates you... somebody that believes you, that cares about you and tells you that your pain matters. And that it’s real.” The singer has been open about her trauma in the past few years, discussing openly the effects her experience with rape has had on her mental health and physical well-being. This new, shocking, detail emerges as Lady Gaga joins Oprah and other starlights in "The Me You Can't See" premiering on Apple TV+ today.

Dariusz Wolski, who worked on Ridley Scott's last project, states that he's still trying to find a "look" for the movie. "I’m still trying to find a look for it. The 80s weren’t a particularly good-looking period. The fashion world or these fashion shows, they were not that great looking. You look at the big coats and stuff and [go] hmm… So it’s a bit of a kitschy, funny, tragic tragedy––like a high-end soap opera. With a crazy cast as well."
