IICONI to Release Exclusive Born This Way Artwork

The collectors’ edition of Lady Gaga's third studio album Born This Way will be released by IICONI and be available at FNAC. This edition consists of an exclusive frame, and with the IICONI app, anyone can use their phone to scan which grants access to a digital version of the album.

The IICONI edition of Born This Way will include the deluxe album, as well as over 20 remixes. It will also feature photos, music videos, and Gagavision episodes.

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett Set to Perform on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”

In anticipation of their upcoming CBS special, One Last Time, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will team up to perform songs from their latest duets album, Love For Sale on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The duo will appear on Tuesday, November 23rd. 
Lady Gaga will sit down for an interview with Colbert, with a special performance with Tony to follow.
The duo’s latest album, Love for Sale is expected to be nominated at the upcoming Grammy Awards. The nominations will be announced on the same day, November 23rd.
One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga airs Sunday, November 28th on CBS.

“House of Gucci” Premieres in Los Angeles

House of Gucci held another major premiere event this evening ahead of its wide release, this time in Los Angeles at the Academy Museum.
Lady Gaga and her co-stars Adam Driver, Al Pacino, and Jared Leto, and director Ridley Scott were on hand to celebrate the film’s return to the West Coast, each of them serving a show-stopping look that they, as a cast, have become known for.

Gaga sparkled in a stunning golden Valentino gown, serving a tribute to Old Hollywood glamour.
      
On the red carpet, Gaga revealed her desire to celebrate Italian designers through each of her premiere looks for House of Gucci.
Gaga also spoke about the creative dynamic she shared with Scott, and how the instantly-iconic “Father, Son, and House of Gucci” line was improvised.
When asked if she would consider collaborating with Britney Spears, Gaga said “of course!”, and congratulated her on her freedom from her recently-terminated conservatorship.

Lady Gaga interviewed by BBC News

Lady Gaga gave another interview for BBC News describing how she used her own traumatic experiences to enrich her brand new role in the upcoming "House of Gucci" movie.

Gaga spoke to BBC News about tapping into her traumatic past to improve her performance in her role as Patrizia Reggiani.
She said: "I used all of these memories, all of these traumas, all of these moments in my life. Less of the hustle as part of her character, but more of being assaulted when I was 19 by a music producer, feeling endlessly controlled by men as I continued my career and tried to find my own voice and be in my own empowerment - not power, but empowerment, as a woman. I took from every trigger point that I could find, and I allowed myself to experience - I could cry talking about it - survival mode all the time."
And then added: "So it was very painful on set because I was constantly working using sense memory. I've been very open about having post-traumatic stress disorder, and I have complex PTSD. So that's not a single incident PTSD, it's multiple incidents. I used all of them at different times in different moments in the script."

How Born This Way Foundation Saved Pose’s Indya Moore

Actor Indya Moore, best-known for their role in the hit series “Pose”, has spoken out about how Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation helped them along their journey.
During a dinner event hosted by Dom Perignon, which saw them make a sizeable $570,000 donation to BTWF, Moore gave a moving speech commending them for the work they do to support young LGBTQ+ people. 
In their speech, Moore revealed that they were homeless just before beginning work on Pose. “I just went straight into working and being an artist and everything that I am to people, and so now I’m trying to be something more for myself. And that’s what I’ve been focused on."
"It was because of this foundation that I was able to be safe for so long and have some kind of structure,” Moore attested. "I got to stay in care until I was about 22 or 23," referring to a foster care system that typically stops looking after people once they turn 18. Born This Way Foundation actively makes donations to foster care agencies to allow people to remain in the system longer.
Founded in 2011 by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the organization is "committed to supporting the wellness of young people, and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world."

Lady Gaga’s upcoming film, House of Gucci, has announced an exclusive exhibition, in collaboration with De La Revalución, opening for limited engagements in Los Angeles and New York.

The event is “an exclusive photo and costume exhibition, featuring a mix of never-before-seen photography, costumes & film footage”. It was curated by the film's costume designer Janty Yates.

Lady Gaga Covers Latest Issue of The Hollywood Reporter

This week’s cover of The Hollywood Reporter has been revealed, featuring a stunningly wicked Lady Gaga in support of her new film House of Gucci.

[...] One day while shooting a scene with Salma Hayek, who plays Patrizia's confidant, Gaga was laying on a couch rely- ing on a Stanislavski acting technique (in which she would run through sense memories from an emotional event) when the line between her own experiences and Patrizia's began to blur. "It's a scene where I knock a lit candle across the room, and I remember I gave Salma a heart attack that day, " Gaga says. "I was falling apart as (Patrizia) fell apart. When I say that I didn't break character, some of it was not by choice." Gaga had experienced this kind of dissociative state before - including once when she was hospitalized. On the Gucci set, Scott intervened, concerned by the impact the performance seemed to be having on his leading actress. "Ridley said, 'I don't want you traumatiz- ing yourself,'" Gaga says. "And I said, 'I already have. I've already been through this anyway. I might as well give it to you.' And he said, 'Well, leave it here and don't do this to yourself anymore.' [...] "I took the pain I feel from being attacked when I was a young girl, from feeling left behind by people that I love, from feeling trapped that I can't go out into a world that I love," Gaga says. "I took that pain and I gave it to her." Her House of Gucci performance is one that will cement Gaga's place not as a singer who acts, but as an actress full stop, and confirm that her Oscar nomination for 2019's A Star Is Born was no fluke.
After seeing A Star Is Born, Scott wanted Gaga for House of Gucci and quickly set up a meeting. "There was only one person ever in my sights at this moment in time who could carry this pretty forthright woman, [...] I found Stef to be inordinately approachable and, frankly, a lot of fun. She's very smart and very, very perceptive. I knew after that first meeting, it was essential that she would do this part. She must. And, of course, because of her very recent success [in A Star Is Born], that made it a lot easier for us to get going and get a proper budget." (The movie cost more than $75 million.)

Gaga sees Patrizia as a performance of a lifetime "meaning I put my entire lifetime into her" - and a cautionary tale about what happens to a woman who has been taught that all of her value is in the man whom she marries. In a scene where a family attorney serves Patrizia divorce papers at her daughter's school, "I yelled at him for every woman on earth, the way that we all do," she says. "As a woman, I feel like I really can snap into something that's not about the person that I'm yelling at. It's like I'm yell- ing at all the men that came before them. It doesn't make it right, but it's real."
Her interpretation of Patrizia is a femi- nist one - that what drove a woman to murder was going unseen and unheard by the men around her. "I can assure you, you should never put a hit out on your husband," Gaga says. "But my love and best wishes and my heart go out to all of us women who try to survive and matter in a man's world. While lots of men were trying to figure out what piece of this pie they were going to get to keep, while they were watching the money, they should have been watching her. And because they didn't pay attention to her, they lost everything."
[...] "My mother and father met me as Patrizia a couple times," Gaga says. "And they were mostly laughing because my family gets a kick out of my love of artistry... There's a downside to committing yourself to a role in that way because it's an adjustment for everybody around you. Suddenly, you're not talking to Stefani anymore with an accent. You're talking to Patrizia Gucci." Hayek praises the end result, "the fresh ness of [Gaga's] performance and creativity in her choices.'" She was the ultimate professional," Hayek says.

On most days during the three-and-a-half-month production, Gaga woke up around 3 a.m. to begin her transformation, a process that included donning a prosthetic bald cap under her various wigs. Often after she awoke she vomited, from some mixture of "anxiety, fatigue, trauma, exhaustion, commitment and love," she says. "You wake up, you throw up, you go to set, throw up again."
As British costume designer Janty Yates details, "Ridley [Scott] wanted Lady Gaga to look more like Gina Lollobrigida than Joan Collins of Dynasty, so basically we looked at all the photos of Gina in her prime in the '60s, and I did a later-'70s version of the lace dress." (To create the outfit, the costume team's hand cutter Dominic Young individually applied every piece of lace.)
In May of 2020, during the dark early months of the pandemic, Gaga released the house music-inspired Chromatica, her sixth consecutive No. 1 album. Though still a hit, it sold only a fraction of her early dance music albums, like 2009's The Fame and 2011's Born This Way. She attributes some of that to the moment, a time when people were scared and secluded at home, not out dancing in clubs. "[The early pandemic] was a time where enter- tainment was, in a way, so needed," Gaga says. "But also we just were not fully in the place to receive that. And I think that that's OK. Sometimes the world is just not in a place to be able to take in art and have it feel good." Gaga says she struggled with depression while making Chromatica. "That album was so difficult," she says. "Almost every day that I went into the studio, I didn't want to be there. When I went into the studio, I used to say, 'I'm so depressed on a clinical deep level, and I do not want to create anything. I'm not entertained right now.' ... During that time, that music did not make me happy, entertainment did not make me happy, performing did not make me happy."

[...] Gaga has now sung on the Oscars stage three times and twice at the Super Bowl (including as the halftime per- former), but 2021 brought a performance with a new kind of stakes for her - the inauguration, which happened two weeks after the attack on the Capitol and in a month when 3,135 Americans were dying per day from COVID-19. "I had to speak to the country and the world in a different way,' she says. "For that performance, it was through Stefani, meaning myself. And in the world that all went through the last four years together, with Donald Trump. In a lot of ways, I thought to myself, 'How could I possibly be patri- otic?' I remember thinking that we were at war. And this was a war song. Singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" 5 feet from Mike Pence, 4 feet from George W. Bush, 10 feet from the president-elect, I really realized while I was up there, Oh, that's right. Not everything is like Donald Trump. We can all be seated in the same place together and be civilized and move forward.' And I found peace in that. I found that to be orderly. Kindness can be orderly."

"House Of Gucci" Premieres in New York City

Ridley Scott's House of Gucci had its New York City premiere tonight at the Lincoln Center. 
It was a star-studded affair as the main cast all hit the red carpet. After attending the Milan premiere solo, Lady Gaga was joined by Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons.

Lady Gaga stunned in Armani PrivĂŠ as she posed for the paparazzi. The actress/singer was also joined by her NYC-based parents, Cynthia and Joe Germanotta.

The premiere of the highly-anticipated film attracted some fellow celebrities to show their support. Brooke Shields, Aquaria, Billy Porter, and Marina Abramović (among others) were in attendance. 
While being interviewed on the red carpet, Gaga spoke about Britney Spears, and how happy she is that the conservatorship has been terminated. 
 
Gaga was also spotted at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on November 15th, though the date the episode will air is yet to be announced.

Lady Gaga Talks House of Gucci, Chromatica, and Her Dog Sitter's Tragedy on GMA

Lady Gaga sat down with Michael Strahan on Good Morning America to discuss her new movie House of Gucci, her latest album Chromatica, and the tragic events regarding her dogs that happened earlier this year.
“It’s wonderful to be in the Oscars conversation,” Gaga remarked as Strahan mentioned the Best Actress buzz surrounding her performance as Patrizia Reggiani. “By nature, I’m more competitive with myself than I am with other people, but I feel really blessed and very honoured to be in this movie.”
The film tells the story of Patrizia Reggiani, played by Gaga, who in 1998 was convicted of orchestrating the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci (Driver), head of the high-profile Gucci fashion house. When asked about why she had not met Reggiani yet, Gaga said, “I could tell very quickly that this woman wanted to be glorified for this murder… I didn’t want to collude with something that I don’t believe in. She did have her husband murdered.”
Gaga and Strahan also touched upon her latest studio album, Chromatica, released in 2020. “When I made it, I was pushing myself to write music because I was really sad. I didn’t even want to create. I think that that, as a performer, is a real signal that something’s off.”
Strahan went on to ask about the tragic incident which saw Gaga’s dogs kidnapped and her dog walker Ryan Fischer shot. “In addition to being so grateful that my dogs are alive, I am grateful that my friend Ryan Fisher is alive,” Gaga responded. “The fact that he was shot was so outrageous and painful, and I pray for his healing all the time”.
During a speed round, Gaga revealed that the best thing that has happened for her this year is “love”, referring to her boyfriend Michael Polansky. Closing off the interview, when asked what’s next for her, she lovingly remarked, “I’d like to spend the next decades of my life learning how to mobilize myself and those watching to build a kinder and braver world”.

"House Of Gucci" Premieres in Milan

Ridley Scott's latest feature film, House of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, had its Italian premiere in Milan today. 
While Lady Gaga was the only member of the star-studded cast in attendance, the actress/singer dazzled in custom Versace. The red look was paired with jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Gaga gave a short opening speech, emotionally thanking everyone for being there and embracing her. The actress shared how meaningful it is to be back in Italy where her ancestors were from and who worked so hard to allow her the opportunity to get a good education and follow her dreams. 
Earlier today, prior to the premiere, Lady Gaga stepped out to film her interview for Che Tempo Che Fa, which will air tomorrow (November 14, 2021).

Lady Gaga joined host Ryan Tubridy from London to chat about her new movie House of Gucci on Friday night's Late Late Show (Ireland's version).
 
 
"Lady Gaga is a pop-cultural phenomenon, whatever she turns her hand to seems to shine from the Grammys to her Oscar, she is a fascinating mega-star. I cannot wait to talk to her." said Ryan, the host of the show.
This isn't the first time Ryan has met Gaga. She appeared on his chat show Tubridy Tonight back in 2009 to perform her mega hit “Just Dance.”

Legendary director Ridley Scott has been interviewed by Deadline regarding his upcoming movie House of Gucci. During the interview, Ridley discussed the making of the movie and praised the main star: Lady Gaga.

DEADLINE: You just worked with Adam Driver in The Last Duel, and given his height and physical resemblance, you can see why he makes a terrific Maurizio. But this movie hinges on Patrizia’s social climbing and ambition and the consequences of her being cut out of that Gucci clan. How did you settle on Lady Gaga? She got an Oscar nomination for A Star Is Born, but that was in a musical venue she knows so well. This is different…
SCOTT: Yeah, she can certainly fucking sing. Wow. If I’d been doing this 40 years ago, it would’ve been Elizabeth Taylor. Patrizia looked like Liz Taylor, and she was small, and her husband was 6-foot-4. Adam Driver’s 6-foot-fucking-4. It’s almost like Adam is the straight man and Patrizia gets all the laughs, but you need the straight man for the laughs to work, and her evolution is a shock, when she steps across the line, certainly as you get into the end of the first act, and you start to sense that this may be going somewhere I didn’t expect. Now, I believe when she set eyes on Maurizio, she knew he was a Gucci. Define love. Does love come with the trappings of a crown? She was 23 or 24, and she wasn’t a gold digger yet, but she was getting there. I had a funny feeling that if your father’s in transportation in the late ‘60s, early ‘70s, do you think he’s connected in Italy? I don’t want to say it, but it’s feasible. On the perimeter of connected? How could he not be? So, she moved in kind of flashy circles where aristocrats love to fuck around at that level, don’t they? Have you noticed that?
DEADLINE: Yes.
SCOTT: They love to fuck around with the bad boys, don’t they? And so, I think she was always on the lookout for a special boyfriend, but I think what was surprising was, Maurizio was so polite. She had never been treated with such respect, and so, at the bar when he meets her, he [introduces himself] and says ‘Maurizio, Maurizio Gucci.’
That is when they meet, he is behind I said, don’t say Gucci. Let her discover in the newspaper who he was. Let her be impressed by the fact he’s so polite and so nice, and say I’ll make you the drink, but charming, and can he dance? No. I mean, he’s also very honest. There’s nothing worse than a guy who can’t dance, pretending he can. Nothing worse. There’s no way I will go near a dance floor, and my wife is Costa Rican. What can I tell you? I look like a fucking idiot, right? So, it’s best not to dance. So, that’s how it started, and then their relationship evolved.
I think Adam is maybe one of the finest actors we have today. Because he moves from being a bad boy in The Last Duel where my investment in the orgies in that film was done for a reason. It showed a social order that at these houses of great wealth and privilege, post-dinner wouldn’t be a cigar and cigarettes and some brandy. It might be, let’s adjourn to the bedroom and anybody who comes in the bedroom had better partake in what’s going to happen, an orgy. That was quite common. So, that’s the investment in that, and therefore because Adam is playing a guy who was used to this state of play, who assumes that any woman will faint and fuck him and do what he has to do and open her legs and that’s it. And where he got it wrong was…he even says it in a sentence. He says, in awe, to Ben Affleck playing Pierre, he said well, were there objections? He said ‘well, she’s a woman. Of course she pretended to object. Of course she objected. She is a woman.’ That’s the way he put it. You go, what? One wonders how much we’ve learned historically from where we are today.
DEADLINE: What most surprised you about Lady Gaga and the work she put into this character?
SCOTT: Oh. I mean, I work like a fucking demon, but she and I were really very good for each other because she keeps up. She’s on everything. It became more and more enjoyable because, singers can be a bit fragile. This is a big movie, and some singers have not made that transition. They make it in music, they do it quite well. I’m not going to name singers, but when a singer goes onto film, they can evaporate. Somehow, they haven’t got the presence. Not her. She’s right there, and she knows the camera. She’s used to that, from being a performer on stage. Have you ever seen one of her shows?
DEADLINE: Not in person.
SCOTT: Well, you’d have to go to Las Vegas, but it’s like that. And then there is the jazz show she does with Tony Bennett, who loves her like a dad. But this other show is from an entirely different universe, and the Las Vegas crowd flocks to see her. So, she’s a multitalented, multifaceted producer, really, apart from being a performer. My hat came off to her, because I could see she knows exactly what she’s doing. And I know exactly what I’m doing. It was a very good marriage. She loved the fact we moved like lightning. We did the film in 42 days, and came in $5 million under budget.

REVIEW: House of Gucci

This first part of the review is spoiler-free, but keep in mind that there will be a short part at the end where I'm going to discuss some scenes of the movie. Skip that part if you don't want to read any details about the movie.
 
A few days ago, I had the privilege to attend the first premiere of Lady Gaga's upcoming movie, "House of Gucci", in London. Lady Gaga herself attended the event, along with her co-stars Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons. The event made the whole city vibrate like few events in the past. People climbed up to the rooftops of the pubs around the square just to get a glimpse of the star that everyone was waiting for. 
And then she arrived. A sexy fierce queen dressed in purple walked right inside the theater knowing that everyone was just waiting for her and the performance that she was about to deliver. 

With the stars in the audience, the screening was filled with cheer and applause periodically during memorable scenes. Even Gaga herself dared to start a round of applause for Jeremy Irons and Salma Hayek during two different epic scenes.
As soon as the movie ended, a 5-minute long standing ovation followed the credits scenes, leaving everyone discussing their opinions about the movie.
House of Gucci, the 27th movie from iconic director Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Hannibal, Prometheus), has everything you need and more, but also lots of things that you didn’t ask for and that maybe will make you fall in love.
The movie is lots of things: it’s fun, it’s dramatic, it’s exaggerated, it’s long, and it’s super entertaining. But, it’s also very different from what you expect, and will surely make some eyes roll from the very beginning, though no one can deny that it stands out and sets itself apart from any recent movies you might have seen.

House of Gucci is long enough to allow the director to make the mood of the whole movie switch multiple times from vibes of “Marriage Story” to “American Crime Story: Versace” and then again from “Green Book” to “Knives Out”. This movie has everything and more, and Ridley managed to keep the rhythm of the movie so engaging, that time flies and you never get bored, not even for a minute.
Lady Gaga is sensational. She makes you laugh, she makes you cry, and she makes you gasp so many times, that you almost start rooting for her. The way she portrayed Patrizia is something that she has never done before; not only does she give the character an insane depth, she also makes you connect to her story in such a deep way that you almost feel like you are seeing the rise and fall of a close relative. It is light years away from the character of Ally (A star is Born), and just a few planets away from The Countess (American Horror Story). Lady Gaga manages to give this new alter-ego her own life.

Even if it might take a few scenes for Lady Gaga & Adam Driver’s chemistry to shine, as the film progresses it becomes something so real, that it feels like you’ve been struggling with their story as well, as if you lived it with them.
I might say that It is a different story for Al Pacino. Each scene with the legendary actor is just perfection. The man is so great that everyone around him becomes great as well, even the funny (albeit sometimes out of place) Jared Leto, to whom the director reserved the role of the funny/dummy sidekick. 

What stands out the most, is the chemistry between Lady Gaga and Salma Hayek. The friendship they built behind the scenes is so real, that it turned into a sensational connection in all their scenes together that you almost desire to see a Netflix spin-off of their adventures.
I’m almost certain that the general public will LOVE this movie a lot. Twitter stans will eat it up instantly, thanks to the plenty of iconic scenes with funny and shady moments. 
It might not become a viral blockbuster, but it’s also right that way. House of Gucci is meant to be an experimental movie that will divide the critics, but it will surely make everyone entertained and mark another milestone in Lady Gaga’s career with a second, and well-deserved, Best Actress Oscar nomination. 
 
Minor Spoiler Section.
The critiques I offer towards the film, are from rumors that were born during the making of the movie. Lady Gaga does not break the 4th wall and she definitely does not narrate the movie. She just introduces the movie with the speech you hear in the trailer, but that’s it. This weird rumor made my hype decrease a little bit, even if you realize later that it would be totally out of place.
A funny thing that you can notice about this movie (remembering the candids from the sets of a few months ago), is that almost all the scenes have been recorded in the same order that they appear in the film. It explains so well why the whole movie becomes better and better the more it goes forward. Although the cast (and their chemistry) doesn’t sparkle in the first scenes, it solidifies and shines brighter than the sun later in the movie. That does highlight the audience’s feeling of growth along with the relationships themselves, as we see them blossom on screen throughout the film. 
The big debate and critiquing of Gaga’s accent shouldn’t even exist when the other actors paled in comparison with theirs (except for Al Pacino of course). On the contrary, her accent is super credible and also very accurate, especially in these scenes where she has to talk in Italian.
A disappointment regarding the film is that many scenes of the trailer are not in the movie, and some of the most iconic scenes are cut. The part where she talks about “unconventional punishments” isn’t there, nor the disco scene with the blue outfit and the drag queens, nor the newest scene of gaga's incident.
What makes the movie a bit unconventional is that the first part is super fast, meanwhile, the second part is diluted over many years and they give you time to process them. 

If Gaga’s acting doesn’t convince you at first, trust me, it will later in the movie with all scenes that fit her the best. Especially the dramatic ones. Towards the end, you can see Patrizia broken, and suffering while surviving in a way that you empathise with her so much that you have to applaud the remarkable acting by Gaga. She has solicited her title as Actress.
What I loved the most about her performance is that Patrizia gets labeled as a “gold digger” instantly, and for the whole movie, Lady Gaga makes you believe that she was not just that, but someone way more profound and real.  
Many will take the opportunity to trash this movie and compare it to A Star is Born because the chemistry between the two main actors is way too different from the chemistry that Gaga and Bradley had; but that would be like comparing “The Fame” with “Love For Sale”. Two different projects, with two different meanings, made with different purposes. Even if this movie won’t have the same magnitude as the previous one, it will surely be remembered as the one that turned Lady Gaga into a more mature and accomplished actress.

The NY Times Interviews Lady Gaga & Ridley Scott

Lady Gaga and director Ridley Scott have been interviewed by The New York Times, to discuss House of Gucci, the upcoming movie of the director that will star Lady Gaga as the main character.

Talk to me about staying in Patrizia’s accent for so many months. Was that tiring?
GAGA I think it would have done more of a number on me had I not practiced it so much. I would be talking like this with my mother, with friends, so that I, Stefani, could speak like this and it would be totally natural. It’s like muscle memory, so that when you’re in the scene, the accent is not in the way of the visceral quality of what’s happening in the room.
If I had a jazz show next week, if I don’t rehearse ahead of time, my voice is not ready for the show. My approach to this was not different than my commitment to music. But I want to be clear: I don’t think it’s about sensationalizing method acting or being in character as the only way to do things. It would have been harder for me to go in and out of character on set than to stay in it.
Ridley, how did you feel about the box office performance of The Last Duel? It got strong reviews and boasted big stars in Matt Damon and Adam Driver, but still underperformed in theaters.
SCOTT It was exceedingly disappointing. The fatal thing is when you think you’ve got it, you haven’t — I thought I’d got it on Blade Runner and I hadn’t! I was crucified by a big critic at the time called Pauline Kael. It’s why I never read critiques, ever. You have to be your own decider — if you worry about what the audience is thinking and what they may want, that’s fatal. A good film will find itself, and now Blade Runner is in the Library of Congress.
But still, it must add some wind to your sails when people are excited about your work. Even while you were making House of Gucci, the pictures from set caused an online sensation.
SCOTT No, totally. There’s nothing like success to make you feel good in the morning, right? At the same time, if you get some kind of clip or hit, don’t let it get to you. If you like what you did, move on.
GAGA I can’t agree more. When you are making art to please people or seek praise, this is not sustainable. You’re essentially passionate about getting people to love you as opposed to being passionate about the work. I know I lost my way as an artist for a while when I started to care about what would make people like me. Then I rebelled, because why should I follow a North Star that keeps moving?
My whole career, I’ve had ups, I’ve had downs. When you were talking about Blade Runner, I was thinking about my record ARTPOP and how they put out critiques before it even came out. Because of freedom of speech, people can write whatever they want, even if it’s lies, but years later, it’s one of my most critically acclaimed albums.
We have no idea what this movie’s going to do after it opens, but it doesn’t matter because we know we made something great. When you get to be lucky like me and be in one of his movies, you know that no matter what, this is going to last a lifetime.

RECAP: “House of Gucci” Press Tour

Interviews for the upcoming film “House of Gucci” have begun this week following its premiere at Leicester Square in London.
Several interviews have been conducted across the past few days with sources such as Entertainment Tonight, Access, and extra. The cast is also set to appear on Good Morning America next week.
In the interviews, the cast shared various details regarding their time on set and how they came to understand their respective roles. Salma Hayek, who plays Giuseppina Auriemma, calls working with Lady Gaga “delicious madness.” It was also revealed that Al Pacino, Aldo Gucci in the film, did not recognize Jared Leto, Paolo Gucci, in his prosthetics.

First official reviews for "House of Gucci" are coming out, following the movie's London premiere. The critics are raving about Gaga's performance, calling it Oscar-worthy.

Lady Gaga's performance got rave reviews from the critics and she enters the Best-Actress race for the upcoming Award season culminating with the Academy Awards in March of 2022. 
Vanity Fair: A true standout performance here from Lady Gaga, funny and fearless and—crucially, in a movie prone to losing the thread—completely commanding. "House of Gucci" Premieres at Leicester Square in London, UK

Ridley Scott's latest feature film, House of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, premiered at Leicester Square in London today, marking its UK debut and first major premiere event.
The film's cast lit up the red carpet, including Gaga, Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, and Jeremy Irons, among others. Gaga shone in a purple Gucci dress from the Gucci Love Parade.

Early reviews of the film following the premiere are raving, with Gaga's performance as Patrizia Reggiani being deemed as "[an official] Oscars contender" (Vanity Fair).
The film tells the story of Patrizia Reggiani, played by Gaga, who in 1998 was convicted of orchestrating the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci (Driver), head of the high-profile Gucci fashion house. The star-studded cast also includes Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Salma Hayek.

Lady Gaga To Release New Special "The Power of Kindness"

Lady Gaga will release a new special titled: "The Power of Kindness", on November 12th.
The special will air this Friday on CBS and will be available right after on Gaga's Instagram and Facebook pages, as well on the Born This Way Foundation's website.
"The Power of Kindness" is a 30-minute long special that will feature Lady Gaga speaking about mental health and sharing her experiences on the topic of kindness. The airing coincides with World Kindness Day (November 13) which globally promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world. These are values that make up a big part of Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.
