Lady GaGa has taken up fishing as a way to relax, reports say.

The singer, who almost collapsed on stage during a recent show in New Zealand, has apparently taken up the hobby to recover from her gruelling schedule.

GaGa reportedly took her bodyguard and a group of dancers to the beach, where they also had a barbecue.

Jason Schwarz, general manager of Waiheke’s Goldwater Estate Vineyard, told the Daily Star: “She’s pretty eccentric, she didn’t take her heels off once.

“She went down to Onetangi beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man’s business shirt – that’s it. She still had her bright yellow hair.”

Another source told the newspaper: “Lady GaGa on the beach was the funniest sight.

“She was surrounded by surfers who couldn’t believe it was her as she as stood completely still with a long fishing rod.”

Lady GaGa has scored a UK chart double this week.

The popstar has topped the singles chart with ‘Telephone’, while her multi-platinum record The Fame, as deluxe reissue The Fame Monster, has returned to number one after spending 62 consecutive weeks in the album charts.

Earlier in the week, Tinie Tempah’s ‘Pass Out’ was in place to become number one for a third week, but GaGa eventually pushed him down to number two.

Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, said: “It’s a phenomenal achievement for Lady GaGa and shows just how much the chart can change in only a matter of days.”

Elsewhere in the singles chart, INNA went straight in at number eight with ‘Hot’, while Cheryl Cole’s ‘Parachute’ climbed two places to number six.

However, Gabriella Cilmi’s ‘On A Mission’ dropped from number nine to number 17, while McLean slipped three places to number 13 with ‘My Name’.

Black Eyed Peas climbed four places with ‘Rock That Body’, but just missed out on the top ten by charting at number 11.

An attorney for Lady Gaga has responded to the $30.5 million lawsuit filed against the singer by former collaborator Rob Fusari. The lawsuit alleges that Fusari discovered and nurtured Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta) only to have her abandon him and cut him out of her lucrative recording career once she became successful.

In a court filing made public Friday, Charles Ortner, an attorney for Gaga, said the agreement at the center of the suit was “unlawful,” according to The Associated Press.

In the suit, filed in New York Wednesday, Fusari claims he came up with Gaga’s stage name (which she has credited him with) and helped her get a label deal; Fusari co-wrote and produced several songs from her 2008 debut LP, The Fame, including “Paparazzi.” The suit also claims that Gaga and Fusari’s relationship became a romantic one as well as a business partnership: a joint venture called Team Love Child LLC for which Fusari’s share was 20 percent.

A songwriter and music producer who claims he helped launch pop star Lady Gaga says she squeezed him out of her lucrative career after he co-wrote some of her songs, came up with her stage name and helped get her record deal.

Rob Fusari filed a $35 million lawsuit against the Grammy Award-winning pop star, saying his protege and former girlfriend ditched him as her career soared.

“All business is personal,” said the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in a Manhattan state court.

Lady Gaga’s spokesman, Dave Tomberlin, didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail sent Thursday by The Associated Press.

Fusari had credits on such hits as Will Smith’s “Wild, Wild West” and Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” when a friend steered the piano-playing singer — then known by her real name, Stefani Germanotta — to him in March 2006, according to his lawsuit.
