After launching Haus Labs seven years ago, Lady Gaga has officially become the chief executive officer of her cosmetics brand.
According to Business of Fashion, the new role means Gaga will "take on commercial stewardship of the label alongside creative direction and product development, which she has led since its launch in 2019."
Haus Labs' co-founder and former CEO Ben Jones left the brand earlier this month. He said in a statement that he is "confident [Gaga] will continue to build on that foundation and take the brand to even greater heights."
Gaga told The Business of Beauty in an exclusive statement, "Ben and I started Haus Labs together eight years ago, and I'm incredibly proud of what we've built. I'm excited to take on a more active role in the company and work alongside our incredible team to build on everything we've accomplished together. I have a lot of vision for this brand, and we have so much more we want to do."
The first time Gaga used the "Haus Laboratories" trademark was for the joint release of her first fragrance, xxx, with Coty in 2012. Haus Labs properly launched in 2019 and was the first beauty line to exclusively release on Amazon before relaunching with Sephora three years later.
In August 2026, Gaga and her fiancรฉ Michael Polansky launched Outer Bio, a skin health research company that pairs "machine learning with full-thickness human skin that stays alive for weeks." The company's goal is to discover cosmetic ingredients that will serve a beneficial effect in skincare products, and some of these ingredients are likely to appear in Haus Labs cosmetic and skincare products once their viability is proven.
