Lady Gaga performed an acoustic version of "Vanish Into You" from her album MAYHEM on Monday, September 8 on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. This marks the first televised performance of the fan-favorite song from MAYHEM. Lady Gaga performed the night prior at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she delivered the live debut of her new single "The Dead Dance".

While in New York City for the sixth MAYHEM Ball show on Sept. 7, 2025, Lady Gaga simultaneously racked up four MTV Video Music Awards, including Artist of the Year. Her duet with Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile," won Best Collaboration, and "Abracadabra" won Best Direction and Best Art Direction. Gaga was the most-nominated artist of the night, with a total of 12 nominations. The night before the ceremony, Gaga pre-recorded a performance of the six-time nominated "Abracadabra" and the televised debut of "The Dead Dance," which was released alongside the second part of the second season of "Wednesday." The song was teased at Netflix’s Wednesday streaming party as part of the promotional campaign for the new season of Wednesday on Netflix. Fans were able to listen to the song in coffins with headphones. The song will premiere online on September 3, the same day the new season of Wednesday will premiere on Netflix. The VMAs will be held in New York City at the USB Arena, and can be streamed on the Paramount+ Premium Plan and on CBS. It is very likely that Lady Gaga will perform her new song “The Dead Dance.”

That was hard because I decided to challenge myself musically with genres I know well. I sang my heart out and tried every production move to make it the best it could be. The songs are hard to sing; They’re all really high, I have to train like crazy for MAYHEM Ball.” Lady Gaga added that ‘Born This Way’ is her favorite album she’s made: “I sort of said Born This Way—I said that on stage last night. It was really inspired by my home NY—which is where I found my artistic community and made the friends that cheered me on when I became Lady Gaga. Plus the message is meaningful to me. Lady Gaga was announced as a guest star in the show’s second season almost a year ago. Ever since the first season’s viral dance scene featuring Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” exploded on social media, Wednesday has maintained a strong connection to her. This bond has now culminated in her joining the upcoming season, as well as her recent standout performance at Netflix’s Tudum event.

FNAC France is set to release two limited-edition colored vinyl versions of Lady Gaga’s iconic albums, The Fame Monster and Born This Way, on September 19. These editions appear to be the same as those previously released in the U.S. by Urban Outfitters. The Fame Monster will come as a 3-disc set, featuring double-sided vinyls that also include Gaga’s debut album, The Fame. The set includes two green vinyls and one silver.
