Lady Gaga joined in the revelry on the 30 Rock stage during “SNL50: The Anniversary Special," which aired live on Peacock.
She kicked off her performance at the piano with Andy Samberg in a "Shallow" parody that quickly pivoted into a duet-medley of the Lonely Island's "Dick in a Box," and "Motherlover." The eccentric sequence concluded with her at center stage sporting a wrapped gift box at her waistline—just like the sketch that the song references.
Later in the evening's proceedings, she closed out the show under the spotlight, with solo version of "Shallow."
This marked the star's fifth time performing on "Saturday Night Live," dating back to her first musical guest spot on October 3, 2009. Her most recent appearance was a cameo on Oct. 21, 2023 when she introduced Bad Bunny, who also rocked the mic during the night's events.
Prior to the night's program, Gaga was spotted outside Radio City Music Hall signing autographs for excited fans.
This SNL outing is the latest in a series of well-received performances from Gaga who, on Sunday, February 9, sang a touching rendition of "Hold My Hand" in a pre-Super Bowl tribute to the victims of the New Orleans attack on New Years Eve.
The Sunday prior saw her and Bruno Mars deliver a duet of "California Dreamin' " at the Grammy's—the same night she debuted her rapidly chart-topping single, "Abracadabra," and the accompanying music video.
“SNL50: The Anniversary Special," was produced by longtime SNL legend Lorne Michaels as well as Gaga's frequent collaborator and friend, Mark Ronson.
