First Look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn In "Joker: Folie à Deux"

Lady Gaga was spotted in New York City on the set of "Joker: Folie à Deux,” fully dressed as her new character "Harley Quinn."

Gaga is currently filming the sequel of "Joker" as co-protagonist with Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix (The Joker). The musical movie will narrate the meeting of The Joker with his doctor Harley Quinzel inside Arkham Asylum. The film is being directed by Todd Philips.

The scenes in New York mark some of the first shots in production outside of Los Angeles. The movie was previously being made in LA with few outdoor scenes to be seen. The majority of takes have been made indoors so far.

Though press photos of Gaga and Phoenix on set have circulated, not much else has been revealed. Crew members and other actors on set have been made to put confidentiality tape over their phone cameras to prevent leaks.

The movie is one of the most anticipated sequels of next year and is expected to release in late 2024.
