Little Monster Since

Favorite Song

  1. I have huge abandonment issues, and the source is mainly my childhood. How do you cope with them? I feel like everyone; my family, my best friend, my other friends are going to leave me one day. Or that the love and affection they show is just for show and tell and a facade. How do I stop thinking so negatively. I have this nagging thought in my mind that everybody will leave me one day and that in the near future I will be alone.
  2. Shops, restaurants and schools will be closed across most of Italy on Monday, with PM Mario Draghi warning of a "new wave" of the coronavirus outbreak. For three days over Easter, 3-5 April, there will be a total shutdown. Italy, which one year ago imposed one of the first national lockdowns, is once again struggling to contain the rapid spread of infections. The country has reported more than 100,000 Covid-related deaths, Europe's second-highest tally after the UK. Italy's vaccination campaign has been hit by delays, as has been seen elsewhere in the European Union. Anglo-Swedish drug company AstraZeneca has announced a further shortfall in the amount of its vaccine it can supply to the European Union, blaming export restrictions imposed by some countries. It did not elaborate. In January, it announced a large cut in the 100m doses it had originally expected to deliver to the EU by March, sparking a public spat with European Commission. Last week the government in Rome blocked the export of 250,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine to Australia to address shortfalls of vaccines. From Monday, schools, shops and restaurants will shut in more than half of Italy, including the two most populous regions containing Rome and Milan. Residents will be required to stay at home except for work, health or other essential reasons. The extra restrictions would last until Easter, Mr Draghi's office said, and over the Easter weekend the whole country would be turned into the high-risk "red zone". "I'm aware that today's restrictions will have consequences on the education of your children, on the economy and on everyone's mental health," Mr Draghi said. "But they're necessary to avoid a worsening of the situation that would require even stricter measures." Cases have been rising across Italy for the past six weeks, exceeding 25,000 a day. 3. As the COVID-19 pandemic persists, mental health professionals are growing more alarmed about a parallel mental health crisis brewing for young adults. The burden of ongoing social, school and work restrictions, experts fear, is leading to a deterioration in the mental states of young adults who are increasingly worried about forfeiting precious time in their prime years, missing traditional milestones, and losing economic opportunities and vital relationships. A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report analyzing survey responses from 5,470 adults this past June revealed 1 in 4 respondents ages 18 to 24 had considered suicide within the past month and a similar number started or increased substance use because of the pandemic. About 75% of respondents in that age group also said they had one or more "adverse mental or behavioral health symptoms." By comparison, among respondents 65 and older, 2% said they had considered suicide and 3% started or increased substance use. About 15% reported adverse mental health symptoms. "The trends in mental health in young people have been going in the wrong direction, even before the pandemic," said Laura D. Kubzansky, co-director of the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston. "We already knew they have been struggling more than previous generations," she said. "But now in the pandemic, younger people also seem to be having a harder time with anxiety, depression, loneliness and so forth, especially those who live alone or are living in more transient circumstances due to schooling or other factors." 4. In college, I get a scholarship for good academic performance and I want to save money. However, all the time I see something cool to buy that I want to have and I buy so everything. In the end, I don't save the money and I feel remorse that I spent money again on things I don't need and then I don't use them. When I buy a new thing, I again look at how much I've already spent this month and the guilt sets in again. I feel bad that the urge to buy suddenly is stronger than the urge to save. I've also noticed that at times when I have no income, I don't spend money on unnecessary things. I notice this phenomenon in myself when I have "too much" money. This need to buy is sudden. I don't really know how not to buy things when I just have the thought that I want to have them....
  5. Hello everyone, I hope you are doing okay and still taking care. I really want to talk about this topic for the Mental Health section because it is something that affects us, and we can have depression about it. I’ve never been in a relationship to be honest, but I’ve known people who have been having toxic relationships and feeling so bad about it. Even a friend of mine tried to kill herself because of his toxic ex-boyfriend. And other friend was very toxic. So, I want to know if you have been through this or if you know someone whose mental health was or is affected by a toxic relationship.
  6. Guys, one of my relatives died couple days ago... It wasn’t a result of covid but a natural death. But it made me think about all those people who passed away during the pandemic, in quarantine... and their loved ones who couldn’t say theşr proper goodbyes. If you have experienced this please share
  7. Do you read Hope Kind Love Gaga book? I have it but ı can’t read it because my english is not very good ı’m so curious about peoples stories ı try to translate 1 page every day Did this book help you?
  8. I know sometimes it's not easy to examine oneself introspectively but for sure once you manage to spot your weak points, you know what to work on to improve and feel better with yourself! Is there something you don't like of yourself/your behaviour and you are trying to work on? For me, I'm aware I'm not a patient person and I've been working on it for years now. Sometimes I really struggle to keep calm and I overreact (most of the times I'm upset at myself though). What about you guys?
  9. Hello every one, I’m creating this thread because I would like to know if you have had any experience with psychiatrists. I’m think a lot of getting professional help with one, and reading your experiences will help me a lot. Thanks for your replies.
  10. We often talk about sides of us that need fixing or healing (and I think it's great to work on oneself and try to improve every day 🤍) but, what are you proud of yourself for? Are there any obstacles you can proudly say you managed to overcome? Let's share our stories trying to keep it positive so we can inspire each other 💪🏼
  11. Hi guys, Hope you're well and dandy (well, as much as we can in 2021) I wanted to discuss one issue that is affecting me A LOT, and I'm sure a lot of you as well. I suffer from a HUGE case of imposter syndrom. For those of you who don't know about it, it's a pathological way of doubting and refusing any personal accomplishement. I believe it's deeply rooted in my lack of self-esteem (probably born of years of bullying and impossibility to meet society's standards in pretty much every area, but that's another topic) and since I started my current job, almost four years ago now, it's been a nightmare. It came to a point were I had nervous breakdowns because while I can see I'm doing ok, I keep telling myself I'm getting let go the first chance they'll get. There's always this voice telling me that I'm not enough, that I'll never be, and shouldn't even try, because, really, what's the point? So Indeed, I don't try hard enough, because I'm so scared. It's a really paralysing mindset, even physically sometimes. So my question is, if you suffer from that, do you have any coping mechanism, tricks, anything to help you moving forward and not being stuck? I'm sorry for such a downer post, with probably Sh*t tons of typos, but it's past midnight here, and I really wanted to get that off my chest.

  14. I used to be very confident as a child, but I started having body issues around the age of 14. I try to limit my meals a lot, going to the extremes of crash diets of eating only a certain product for 5-7 days straight which makes me lose weight obviously. My BMI is normal for my height, which is about 19.2. A normal BMI is supposed to be at 18-24 btw. I know that I am not fat, yet I can't help but feel disgusted and ashamed every time I see myself in the mirror. I sometimes eat and drink nothing but a glass of milk the whole day, and then the next day I might find myself binge eating. It's so exhausting to live like this tbh, I appear so confident and body positive to others, yet all I feel is negativity when I look at myself. My family tries to make me eat all the time. Eat this for me, eat that and then we can do you favorite thing and this and that, but I can't help myself with it. Any tips on how I can overcome this?
  15. I have a couple friends, as well as myself sometimes, who go through severe periods of depression, anxiety and other mental disturbances mainly in one part of the year. I was wondering if anyone on LGN has experienced this too, as I don't want to feel alone on this matter. If you do have, when is it and how severe is it?
  16. I’ve made a Spotify playlist for my workout routine, but I want to know if you can help me with any suggestions to add to my playlist? They can be Gaga songs and remixes. But you can also suggest me any songs by other artists. I do cardio everyday, but I also work on my arms (Monday and Thursday), shoulders and Back (Tuesday), Legs and glutes (Wednesday and Friday) and abs (Thursday and Saturday)
  17. A safe space where you can share what you are feeling/thinking/going through atm or vent out whatever u feel. Feel free and be free. Let me start by saying that I feel happy rn and my mental health has been boosted a lot by these festivities around me with my family. I feel light. 🧡

I was wondering if anyone here is suffering from BPD? BPD is a borderline personality disorder. People often confuse it with bipolar disorder. But it's really not, there are many differences between them. My favorite way to differenciate them is with something I read online; bpd is bipolar disorder, but faster. So I suffer from BPD. I don't know for how long I have had it for, but I remember being this moody person ever since I was a child. I think it is related to some of my childhood trauma too. Bpd causes me to be moody, splitting, disassociating, going from feeling like I deserve no love, success or happiness and then switching to feeling extremely lucky and happy. It's so exhausting and I sometimes just want to shut down and do nothing. I have habits like impulsive decisions, which may be harmful for me in ways. And also addictions. I have had an unhealthy addiction since I was 8 years old. I have tried getting rid of it but I always get sucked back in. Anyone has a similar experience and would like to share their coping mechanisms? I feel really defeated sometimes because feeling too much is physically as well as mentally draining 😔
  19. To be totally honest thanks to lockdown my mental health has really improved. Ik some you had a really hard time this lockdown but just know It'll be over soon. I'm used to the lockdown lifestyle, I always stay at home and never go out even before lockdown so I was pretty happy being in lockdown cuz I could isolate myself from all the shi*y people in my school and focus on myself for a while. Did lockdown affect you in a good way or in a bad way?
  20. Hi guys! I wanted to promote an amazing Instagram account I recently discovered, The Happy Boradcast ! Since the news is pretty much anxiety inducing, I wanted to find an alternative place to stay informed of the positive that's happening in this world! They often posts good news from around the world, and do a weekly roundup on Sundays! Also, aren't their illustrations so cute?? I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
  21. Although I have already tweeted this but I shall post the same thing here too, hoping that it will reach out to more monsters and everyone else. So Merry Christmas to everyone especially to those who are alone, going through a hard time, struggling and fighting with any illness etc; I want you to know that you're so strong and I am proud of you, and you have the whole monster community with you❤ To those who have someone to spend this festive season with, appreciate and cherish the moment. In my opinion honestly, there's nothing to be celebrated as the virus is still around and as I am typing, someone may be losing their loved one. However, we can do our part by staying home and if you are heading out, remember to wear your masks and adhere to safety measures. Let's all be appreciative and grateful for the people around us, once again, merry christmas everyone! 🎅🏻 I am here for anyone if you want to talk about anything; be it happy or sad, I want to be here for you👍🏻 Comment down below what you're grateful for this Christmas! 🎄
