Lady Gaga Reveals Sexual Assault at 19 Left Her Pregnant

Lady Gaga reveals in the new documentary, "The Me You Can't See", that she unfortunately became pregnant after her horrific sexual assault at 19.

Talking about the traumatic event, Gaga stated “I went through a really crazy time in my head that I still work on. And I’m trying to make sure I give back with that experience instead of just, I don’t know, locking it away and faking it.”

She then began to speak about her past in more detail, saying: “My mental health I thought was a problem when I was very young. I used to cut myself when I was really young. I had my own experiences with abuse and it’s really hard for me to articulate in a way where I feel like it’s safe for young people to listen about why anyone would cut. I do believe that those urges for me, came from a place of ‘I need to show the hurt inside’.”

Gaga then carefully took the time to relay the details of the event that caused her trauma and pain.

“I was nineteen years old. And I was working in the business. And a producer said to me ‘take your clothes off’. And I said ‘no’. And I left. And they told me they were gonna burn all my music. And they didn’t stop asking me and then I just froze and I just... I don’t even remember.”

She continued with: “And I will not say his name. I understand this ‘Me Too’ movement, I understand that some people feel really comfortable with this, and I do not. I do not ever want to face that person again.”

"Years later I went to the hospital, they brought a psychiatrist in and I said, 'Bring me a real doctor.' I said, 'Why is there a psych here, I can't feel my body.' I felt full-on pain, then I went numb," she said. "And then, I was sick for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks after and I realized that it was the same pain I felt when the person who raped me dropped me off pregnant on the corner [outside] my parents' house, because I was vomiting, and sick. 'Cause I'd been being abused. I was locked away in a studio for months."

“I wanna be able to tell everybody that’s watching that I dry my tears now. And I move on... You can come back from things like that. But when it hits you really hard, it can change you. I had a total psychotic break and for a couple years I was not the same girl.”

Lady Gaga also explained how she is now able to overcome and control her trauma after many years.

“I learned all the ways to pull myself out of it. It all started to slowly change. It took two and a half years.”

The interviewer then asked Gaga, “What were you doing in that time?”

She replied, laughing I won an Oscar! Nobody knew!”

“Everybody that’s at home right now suffering, I would like to say that it’s so important that you surround yourself with at least one person that validates you... somebody that believes you, that cares about you and tells you that your pain matters. And that it’s real.”

The singer has been open about her trauma in the past few years, discussing openly the effects her experience with rape has had on her mental health and physical well-being.

This new, shocking, detail emerges as Lady Gaga joins Oprah and other starlights in "The Me You Can't See" premiering on Apple TV+ today.

My heart is hurting so much right now. I can't imagine or fathom her going through that. How could someone betray the trust of a just-legal girl in their own studio and abuse her for months that easily. And to drop her off after being the cause of her misery for months.... Literally rot in hell.

And she was pregnant too. The MTN video came out to be true. This is heart wrenching. Poor darling Stefani.

I'm more shaken & speechless than I've ever been. I haven't been able to get this off my mind since the notification came in at 3am this morning. I feel as if I probably should say something about it on social media, considering the fact that it's such a big and important discussion… But I just don't know how to put the words together atm. I was telling my friend about it in school today, and she even said she noticed my voice trembling as I spoke about it

This broke me today. I was so numb when I saw heard it. That one picture of her from the photoshoot with the baby back in 2009 is alway gonna be burned into my memory now. As I’m writing this I’m so close to tears.

But I’m also so so proud of her how far she’s come considered everything. I love her so much.

This is heartbreaking. I'm so sad. She went through so many things and she stills so kind and kept going on. It's incredible how she came back from this. We love you.

I have been thinking about this, and isn't it kind of strange that Gaga said "THEY told me THEY were going to burn all my music"

And then she says that "And I will not say HIS name."

So there were multiple people involved???? Because she clearly gendered him later on.

Oh my god this is so horrible.

I really had to cool down after this news.

I'm glad that she said, that she can dry her tears now, and the fact, that she was all these years (and still is) brave and selfless enough to use her horrible experience to help and encourage others, amazes me constantly.

Let's celebrate her with taking her advices and being a help for others and distributor of kindness :)

Its because it's one guy but the people on the studio was probably aware of what's going on and did nothing and maybe took advantage of the situation to frightened her..
