Lady Gaga wants music to empower women

Lady Gaga wants to share her success as a woman with other females – in a unique Gaga way.

Calling herself a “little bit of a feminist”, the musician and performance artist who is not afraid to shock said she wants all women to be happy with themselves.

She said: “I find that men get away with saying a lot in this business, and that women get away with saying very little.

“In my opinion, women need and want someone to look up to who they feel has the full sense of who they are and says, ‘I’m great’.”

She said that her success came after her work, but there was no reason other women could not also succeed.

“When I say to you, ‘There is nobody like me, and there never was’ – that is a statement I want every woman to feel and make about themselves.

“I don’t make it as a defence. I make it as, ‘OK, guys, it’s been two years, and I’ve made a lot of music, and I know my greatness is individual.’ And I want every woman to be able to say that.”
