Venus Zine is running a great contest for Lollapalooza 2010, at Grant Park in Chicago.

If you’re hitting up the festival on Friday, August 6, come dressed in your best Lady G garb for our “Dress Like Gaga” fashion contest. The best costume will be featured in Venus Zine’s winter issue!

For guaranteed entry, meet us (we’ll be wearing our Venus Zine T-shirts) at the Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park from 2–3 pm, dressed in your Gaga best. We’ll also have our photogs scouting the grounds near the Parkways Stage closer to the start of Gaga’s set (8 pm) for entrants, but to make sure you’re seen, head to the fountain during the time mentioned above and find the Venus Zine team.

Captured on set during the cover and editorial shoot for the September issue of Vanity Fair, this is Nick Knight’s latest fashion film for SHOWstudio.com starring the incomparable Lady Gaga in an array of custom-crafted couture from fashion’s finest, including a rather incredible transparent plastic Armani Privé ensemble – a make-believe fantasy frothing with very real smoke.

The Grammy-winning singer, 24, scored 13 MTV Video Music Award nominations Tuesday – the most ever received by any artist in a single year.

“I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history,” says Gaga. “Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number: 13.” She adds: “A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for three reasons: To make loud music, gay videos and cause a damn raucous. Thank you, MTV!”

The revealed Nominations are:

Note that GaGa has already “won” two distinctions: she received the most nominations ever in a single VMA year, and she’s the first female artist nominated for two different videos in the “Video of the Year” category for “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” featuring Beyoncé.
