Brian Einersen announces that the Lady Saga comic book collection is now being sold exclusively at Marc Jacobs stores.
Lady Gaga (Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has become the new music and fashion trendsetter after wearing her plastic bubbles on the cover of The Rolling Stone and winning 2009′s Best New Artist Award.
Pop culture artist Brian Einersen has built on this fame by creating a “Lady Saga” comic book that is being sold exclusively at Marc Jacobs stores. Einersen’s comic book crafts a fusion of fashion and cartoon art.
Lady Saga, with her fashionable wit, pokes fun at such luminaries as St.
John, Christian Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent. The mini comic book is receiving worldwide attention and is reported on as far away as Japan and China. Top websites, including celebrity and fashion sites Coco Perez, Fashionista and MTV Splash, are following the story. The extensive coverage the comic book is receiving has drawn attention to his mixed media art project — The Pop Culture Pencils. These art pieces feature pencils recreated as people who visit the Pop Culture scenes e.g. Abbey Road, Reservoir Dogs. Einersen remarked: “A pencil is a tool to create art, but what if the pencil is the art?”-
